Candice Brewer Graham
Candice Graham (Brewer) is a remarkable athlete and the daughter of Ron Brewer, a two-time All-American basketball player at the University of Arkansas. Candice's legacy in basketball runs deep, as she followed in her father's footsteps and became a standout guard at Fayetteville High School. A two-time All-State, All-Conference, and All-State Tournament selection, Candice led her team in points, rebounds, steals, assists, and free throw percentage during her junior and senior years. She finished her high school career with 1,062 points and helped her team reach the state finals in both her junior and senior seasons, narrowly missing the title by two points in overtime. Candice also earned national recognition as a member of the Basketball Congress International All-American Team and the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympic Team. After high school, Candice attended the University of Tulsa on a full athletic scholarship, where she became a key player for the Tulsa women's basketball team. Over her four years, she was named Defensive Player of the Year every season and became the university’s all-time assist leader in 2004. Candice earned academic honors and was named an Academic All-Conference player. She also garnered the prestigious 2004 National Strength and Conditioning All-American award. By the time she graduated, she ranked among the university’s top-10 career leaders in assists, steals, and scoring.
Beyond her athletic career, Candice has built a successful life and family. In 2009, she married her college sweetheart, Nick Graham. The couple now resides in San Antonio, TX, and they have three children—Jaliyah, Nicholas Jr., and Jamison—who are also excelling in athletics. Candice continues to make an impact on the basketball community as the head coach of the PlayerFirst 17U basketball team. In addition to her coaching role, Candice is a breast cancer survivor, recently marking five years of being in remission.
