2025 Inductees

Candice (Brewer) Graham

Candice Graham (Brewer) is a remarkable athlete and the daughter of Ron Brewer, a two-time All-American basketball player at the University of Arkansas. Candice's legacy in basketball runs deep, as she followed in her father's footsteps and became a standout guard at Fayetteville High School. A two-time All-State, All-Conference, and All-State Tournament selection, she finished her high school career with 1,062 points and helped her team reach the state finals in both her junior and senior seasons, narrowly missing the title by two points in overtime.

Aubrey (Edie) Pappanastos

Aubrey Edie was a highly accomplished athlete at Fayetteville High School. In high school, Aubrey’s exceptional talent in volleyball, basketball, and softball set her apart. Her volleyball career included a State Championship, the Gatorade Player of the Year award, and being named State Tournament MVP. Aubrey was a 3x All-State and All-Conference selection in volleyball and was named NWA Big 6 Newcomer of the Year and Player of the Year in the same sport. In basketball, she earned 2x All-Conference honors and was an Under Armour All-America Second Team selection in volleyball.

Jim Elliott

James (Jim) Thomas Elliott, Jr. was born in St. Louis, Missouri, to James (Doc) Thomas Elliott, Sr. and Helen Binsbachar Elliott. As the second of five children, Jim spent his early childhood in Baldwin City, Kansas, before moving to Fayetteville, Arkansas, in 1970. It was here that Jim began his athletic career, playing football at Ramay Junior High School from 1971 to 1974 and continuing at Fayetteville High School from 1974 to 1977. A standout two-sport athlete, Jim excelled in both football and track.

Fred Gulley III

Fred Gulley III became a basketball standout during his high school years at Fayetteville High School. His outstanding performances earned him numerous accolades, including being named Mr. Basketball for the state of Arkansas in his senior year and receiving Gatorade Player of the Year honors in both his junior and senior seasons. Fred led Fayetteville High to an undefeated season and a state championship as a senior, and was selected as a Reebok All-American. He also earned First Team All-State honors in his sophomore, junior, and senior years.

Dick Johnson

Dick Johnson dedicated 18 years of service to Fayetteville Schools, leaving a lasting impact as both an educator and athletic leader. His journey began as an assistant football and track coach, and he served on the student council in the 1984-1985 school year. By 1992, Dick became the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director, serving in that capacity until 1995. His leadership was further expanded in 1996 when he took on the role of Athletic Director until 2006, and in 2006, he transitioned to Assistant Superintendent, continuing his influence in Fayetteville Schools until 2009.

Emma (Lavy) Bradford

Emma Lavy Bradford left a lasting mark on Fayetteville High School as one of the most decorated golfers in school history. A four-time All-State selection and two-time individual state champion, Emma helped guide the Lady Bulldogs to three state titles during her time on the team. Her steady presence and championship mindset culminated in a senior-year victory at the 7A State Tournament, where she carded a 75 to clinch the individual title and solidify her place among Arkansas’ elite young golfers.
